Job summary

Saint Luke's Health System in the Kansas City area is hiring a Medical Assistant to support the Cardiovascular Consultants. The role includes pre-visit planning, rooming patients, recording vitals, and EMR documentation while supporting providers and nursing staff.

Duties also cover phlebotomy, ECGs, vaccine coordination, injections, and patient communications. This position may float to other clinics in the metro and outreach locations; mentoring may be involved.

Qualifications

• Certification as CMA, NRCMA, RMA, or CCMA required.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience preferred: 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Pre-visit planning and rooming patients with vitals documented in EMR.
• Obtain and document vitals; assist providers and nursing team.
• Perform phlebotomy and complete EKGs as needed.
• Administer injections and coordinate vaccines; screen calls per protocol.
• May float to other clinics in the metro and outreach locations; may mentor/new staff.
