Job summary

Advocate Health seeks a Nurse Practitioner in Cardiology at Cartersville MOB to join a full-time team. You will provide patient-centered care under physician supervision, perform diagnostic procedures, and collaborate with the medical team in a busy hospital setting.

The position requires NP Master’s degree, board certification, and an active RN/NP license in Georgia. Schedule is 8:00–17:00, M–F with quarterly weekend coverage; 40 hours per week, competitive benefits, and opportunities for

Qualifications

  • Graduation from accredited NP Masters program.
  • Current GA RN and NP licenses; board-certified NP.
  • Experience in cardiology or hospital-based care preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop patient care plans using medical decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the medical team for team-based care.
  • Order and interpret labs and diagnostics; explain procedures to patients.
  • Perform department-approved procedures.
  • Mentor students and participate in research when possible.

M - F 8 - 5 and quarterly weekend coverage for hospital.

Pay Range:

$51.05 - $76.60

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • Graduation from accredited Nurse Practitioner Master's Program
LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, and/or REGISTRATION:
  • Current applicable state Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner license
  • Board certified in NP specialty
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  1. Using medical decision-making skills to determine appropriate patient care plan.
  2. Collaborates with medical team when needed for effective team-based care.
  3. Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures. Explains the necessity, preparation, nature and anticipated effects of scheduled diagnostic and therapeutic procedures to the patient.
  4. Procedural skills per department or practice guidelines
  5. Opportunity to participate in basic science and clinical research projects
  6. Potential for and encouraged to precept students and/or medical learners
  7. Uphold AHWFB missions, values, and cultural commitment
  8. Performs other related duties incidental to the work described herein.
