Job summary

Mercyhealth is seeking a Cardiology/Electrophysiology Clinic Nurse in Janesville, WI. This full-time, on-site role supports patients with cardiovascular conditions in an outpatient clinic, performing intake, assessments, vitals, histories, and prep for tests.

You will collaborate with cardiologists to coordinate care plans and educate patients on procedures, medications, device management, and lifestyle changes.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Wisconsin (and/or Illinois) in good standing.
• Clinical experience in cardiology, electrophysiology, or related ambulatory care settings.
• Proficiency with electronic health records, documentation, and basic clinical technologies.
• BLS certification required; ACLS and specialty certification in cardiology or ambulatory care are beneficial.
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; BSN strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient intake and assessments, obtain medical histories, vitals, and medication lists.
• Prepare patients for diagnostic testing and provider evaluations.
• Coordinate care plans with cardiologists and electrophysiologists; provide patient education on procedures, medications, device management, and lifestyle changes.
• Triage patient calls, manage symptom concerns, and assist with in-clinic procedures.
• Document care in the electronic health record; participate in quality and safety initiatives.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team to ensure timely communication and patient-centered care.
