Job summary

Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, OH seeks a dedicated clinical assistant to support Sonographers, Exercise Physiologists, and Cardiology Technicians in daily testing and clerical tasks. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; healthcare-related post-secondary education preferred.
• CPR certification required.
• 1 year of healthcare-related experience preferred.
• Ability to work with patients of all ages (pediatric to adult).
• Demonstrated emotional intelligence and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Schedules multidisciplinary testing procedures and monitors patient/staff flow within the area.
• Assists in coordinating diagnostic tests.
• Performs basic cardiac testing (EKG) and applies heart monitoring devices; provides reports to providers.
• Facilitates diagnostic outside interpretations.
• Provides timely billing and auditing support.
• Transfers echocardiographic images electronically to/from outside institutions.
• Performs clerical tasks for diagnostic testing, including documentation and records management.
