Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs invites applications for a Registered Nurse in Cardiology at the Wilmington VA Medical Center.

The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care in the Cardiology Department, assist with echocardiography, stress testing, pacemaker/defibrillator interrogations, and remote surveillance programs. Requirements include graduation from an approved nursing program, current state license, English proficiency, and the ability to work in a high‑acuity setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the accrediting bodies (ACEN/CCNE)
• Current State license as a graduate nurse and unobstructed licensure in the U.S.
• English language proficiency and ability to communicate effectively in a clinical setting

Responsibilities

• Interrogates, reprograms, and troubleshoots implantable cardiac devices
• Provides nursing care in the Cardiology Department including echocardiography and stress testing
• Performs 12-lead EKGs and supports remote surveillance/monitoring programs
