Job summary

PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center in Vancouver, WA is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) for the Cardiology unit. This full-time, 0.90 FTE night shift (6:30 PM - 7:00 AM) position offers an opportunity to care for patients recovering from cardiac events within a close-knit team.

You will perform essential nursing tasks, monitor vital signs, assist with mobility, and support patients and families with empathy and professionalism while collaborating with nurses and the care team.

Qualifications

• Washington State CNA credential required.
• BLS certification upon hire or before start date.
• At least 1 year of CNA experience in hospital or SNF.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to recognize changes in patient condition and report promptly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and meals.
• Help patients ambulate, reposition, transfer safely, and stay active during recovery.
• Take and document vital signs; report changes to nursing staff.
• Monitor intake/outtake and assist with basic treatments as directed.
• Provide comfort and compassionate support to patients and families.
• Keep rooms stocked and organized; document patient information accurately.
• Respond to call lights with urgency and kindness; support with unit tasks as needed.
