Job summary

CHRISTUS Health in Texas' Henderson area seeks a Certified Medical Assistant to support patient care with accurate data entry for registrations and insurance verification, while communicating effectively with patients, families, and staff.

The CMA will assist physicians and other providers, manage scheduling and patient communications, and uphold professional standards during the typical 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday–Friday, full-time work schedule.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates the ability to use good judgment and communicates effectively with patients, families, and staff.
• Accurate data entry for patient accounts and insurance verification.
• CMA certification is required.
• BLS certification is required.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants in giving superior medical care.
• Accurate Data Entry of charges on patient accounts, registering patients, and updating patient accounts.
• Insurance Verification and recording of Statistics.
• Assist with scheduling patient appointments, answering phones, keeping providers informed of changes, and informing patients of their benefits.
• Other duties as assigned.
