Job summary

Mercy seeks a professional nurse to provide nursing care to patients within the medical practice, in support of and as directed by physicians. The nurse assists the physician in treatment and completes related clinical paperwork while upholding the Mercy Philosophy of caring for the sick and the dignity of each person.

You’ll communicate with patients, families, visitors and staff in a caring, friendly, personal and professional way, follow guidelines and policies, and operate clinic equipment

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current valid state license.
• CPR certification or obtain within 90 days of employment.
• Ability to assist with a variety of medical treatments and procedures.
• Ability to interpret, adapt and apply guidelines and policies.
• Clear communication with patients, staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care within the medical practice under physician direction.
• Assist the physician in treatment, examinations, and procedures and complete related clinical paperwork.
• Communicate with patients, families and staff in a caring, professional manner, maintaining safety and compliance.
