Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to support Cardiology Specialty Clinics in Redlands, CA. The LVN provides direct and indirect patient care, performs assessments, and assists with medications and teaching.

You will work under RN/Cardiology Nurse Manager in multiple clinic settings, handle CPRS entries, EKGs, vital signs, and participate in rapid response as needed. Telework is not available; schedule is Mon-Fri 7:30am-4:00pm or similar.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved practical or vocational nursing program.
• Current LPN/LVN license in the United States.
• English language proficiency required.
• Ability to work within Cardiology clinics.

Responsibilities

• The LVN performs assignments in the Cardiology Specialty Clinics as a member of the interdisciplinary health care team.
• Provides direct and/or indirect patient care under RN supervision.
• Performs data gathering, treatments, and patient/family education.
• Maintains CPRS documentation and medication administration records.
• Participates in rapid response and emergency procedures as needed.
