Job summary

The University-Health-3 Cardiology department seeks a Care Coordinator RN to coordinate patient care for structural heart procedures. You will partner with cardiologists, surgeons, radiology, and research staff to streamline referrals and pre-procedure workups.

Your role supports efficient coordination and positive patient outcomes in a busy clinical setting. Texas-licensed RN with BSN preferred, plus at least 2 years of outpatient experience in Cardiology or OB/GYN.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Texas is required.
• BSN preferred.
• 2 years outpatient clinic experience in Cardiology, MFM (Maternal-Fetal Medicine), or OB/GYN preferred.
• Experience in case management, utilization review or hospital quality assurance is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient care for structural heart procedures within the Cardiology department.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including cardiologists, surgeons, radiology, and research staff.
• Manage patient referrals and ensure thorough pre-procedure workups.
• Contribute to improved clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction through coordinated care.

Education

Licensed Registered Nurse in Texas

BSN preferred

2 years outpatient clinic experience in Cardiology or OB/GYN

Case management / utilization review / hospital quality assurance experience preferred
