Job summary

Central Maine Healthcare in Lewiston, Maine, is seeking a General Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider (NP or PA) to join a growing cardiovascular team delivering comprehensive care across inpatient and outpatient settings.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program.
• Current NP or PA certification.
• Eligible for Maine licensure.
• Cardiology or internal medicine experience preferred.
• Strong clinical judgment and patient management skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and cardiovascular assessments.
• Manage inpatient cardiology consults and outpatient follow-up visits.
• Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising cardiologists.
• Order, interpret, and review diagnostic testing including ECGs, stress tests, echocardiograms, and ambulatory monitors.
• Educate patients on cardiovascular conditions, medications, and preventive care strategies.
• Coordinate care with physicians, nursing staff, APPs, and ancillary departments.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in shared call coverage as needed.
