Job summary

Memorial Health is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Cardiology Team at Decatur Memorial Hospital. This is a full-time, day-shift specialty care APP position requiring prior cardiology experience. APRN/PA licensure in IL and appropriate certification are required, with CPR and ACLS as applicable.

On-site work with a strong emphasis on patient-centered care, collaboration with physicians, and ongoing professional development within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• APRN license in Illinois and PA license where required.
• Appropriate APRN or PA certification as determined by department.
• DEA license where required; must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• CPR certification required; ACLS where required.

Responsibilities

• Document care in the electronic medical record.
• Diagnose and treat injuries, diseases and prevention with patient education.
• Develop and deliver preventive health programs for patients.
• Coordinate patient care with physicians and external agencies.
• Perform routine exams and manage treatment plans; initiate treatments.
• Write progress notes and maintain nurse practitioner protocols.
