Job summary

Washington Regional Medical Center seeks a full-time Cardiology Advanced Practice Provider to join the Walker Heart Institute, a high-volume cardiology practice with multiple specialists and physicians. The role supports a large referral base and offers full practice support in a community-owned health system.

The ideal candidate will hold NP or PA credentials, CPR, and national certification, with a minimum of 3 years’ clinical nursing experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited NP/PA program.
• Nurse Practitioner License and CPR required; national certification required.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a clinical nursing role.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical examinations of patients to evaluate health and diagnose illnesses.
• Order and perform diagnostic tests, such as X-rays and laboratory tests.
• Determine, plan, and initiate appropriate treatment, and adjust treatment if necessary.
• Prescribe and dispense medications.
• Document medical information and maintain electronic medical records.
• Educate, instruct, and counsel patients and families on presenting health problems, treatment plans, and home care, and promote preventative health care.

Education

Graduate of accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
