Medicorp, Inc. is expanding its Cardiology program in the Portland area, seeking a Cardiac Electrophysiologist to grow EP services across the EP lab, clinic, and inpatient rounds.
The role includes collaboration with an EP PA, device clinic support, and a focus on ablations, devices, and Watchman procedures in a multidisciplinary setting.
A candidate is sought for a Cardiac Electrophysiologist (EP) position within an expanding cardiology program. This role provides an opportunity to shape and grow EP services, bringing advanced cardiac care to the local community.
The position joins a collaborative team that includes a dedicated EP Physician Assistant, a robust device clinic, and two EP labs equipped with Abbott EnSite mapping. The role balances time between the EP lab, clinic, and inpatient rounding. The program provides comprehensive services, including pacemakers, ICDs, heart failure devices, Watchman procedures, complex ablations, and device management.
Perform a wide range of elective and emergent EP procedures
Provide outpatient clinic care and inpatient rounding
Optional: Read ECHOs and perform TEEs
Document care accurately and in compliance with regulations
Collaborate on policies, protocols, and quality initiatives
Build and maintain a referral base for EP services
Participate in multidisciplinary rounding and supervise an EP PA
MD from an accredited school of medicine
Current Oregon medical license and DEA registration
Fellowship training in Cardiology and Electrophysiology (ACGME/AOA)
ABIM or AOA Board Certification in Internal Medicine and Cardiology (or eligible within 5 years of fellowship completion)
Added Qualifications in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology or fellowship equivalent
Proven experience with at least 100 core cardiology procedures in the last 24 months
Moderate or Deep Sedation privileges and ACLS certification
Documentation of training, competency, and procedural logs required
