Job Summary and Responsibilities

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health (VMFH) is fulfilling our vision of transforming healthcare. We have an opportunity for a 1.0 FTE Cardiologist at our Bonney Lake and Enumclaw locations.

This Cardiologist will be part of the Franciscan Medical Group multi‑specialty practice serving the greater South Puget Sound region of Washington State.

Opportunity Highlights

• Center for Cardiovascular Health: The Center for Cardiovascular Health at VMFH encompasses over 150 providers, including interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, advanced heart failure specialists, cardiac imaging specialists, vascular surgeons, thoracic surgeons, cardiac surgeons and anesthesiologists, among other specialists. Our programs have achieved significant recognition within the region and nationally for our quality and outcomes. We are a high volume program performing over 1,100 open heart surgeries, 2,400 PCIs and 2,000 ablations annually. We provide care for over 200,000 patients in our cardiology clinics annually and provide inpatient services for our healthcare system that includes over 1,500 beds and 8 hospitals in the Greater Seattle Area.
• Position Details: This position is four days per week. Two days per week at our Enumclaw clinic and two days per week at our Bonney Lake clinic. You will be one of two cardiologists at the Enumclaw location along with an APP. You will be the sole cardiologist, for the most part, at the Bonney Lake clinic. Another cardiologist sees patients a few days per month at this location.
• Schedule: Four days per week.
• Call: Weekday, evening and weekend call shared among 10 cardiologists with a ratio 1:8 weeks. Call involves onsite inpatient rounding at St. Joseph Medical Center in Tacoma. Some overnight call required. Nocturnal APP and fellows minimize overnight call.
