Job summary
Sutter West Bay Medical Group seeks a Cardiologist specializing in interventional echocardiography to join a premier cardiovascular program in San Francisco. You will provide advanced imaging support for high-complexity structural heart procedures and work closely with interventional cardiology, surgery, imaging, and electrophysiology teams.
Role emphasizes intraprocedural guidance, TAVR, and research involvement within a comprehensive imaging program, with opportunities for fellowship
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiovascular Disease
- Advanced training and demonstrated expertise in structural heart imaging and interventional echocardiography
- Strong experience with TEE, 3D echocardiography, and intraprocedural imaging guidance for structural heart procedures
- Advanced cardiac imaging fellowship training may be preferred for earlier-career candidates
- Experience with multimodality cardiovascular imaging is desirable
- Experience with clinical research and investigational structural heart devices is desirable
- Interest in program development, quality improvement, teaching, research, and team collaboration
- Commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
Responsibilities
- Provide advanced interventional echocardiography support for a high-complexity structural heart program
- Imaging guidance for TAVR and other transcatheter structural heart procedures
- Support emerging therapies and clinical trials in structural heart
- Perform and interpret transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography including 3D imaging
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiovascular teams across imaging, surgery, electrophysiology, and heart failure
- Participate in case conferences, procedural planning, and program development
- Contribute to a multimodality imaging program and potential imaging fellowship development
- Engage in research and teaching within the cardiovascular program
