Job summary

Harris Regional Medical Center in Sylva, NC, is seeking a cardiologist to provide comprehensive cardiology services in a community-focused setting. You will cover general cardiology, work with APPs, and participate in invasive/interventional procedures, including cath lab activity at the sister facility nearby.

The position supports 7 on/7 off or 14 on/14 off schedules, with echocardiography, Nuc, and TEE, outpatient clinics and inpatient consults, and a strong collaboration with the hospitalist

Qualifications

• Board-eligible or board-certified cardiology in NC.
• Ability to perform echocardiography, nuclear and TEE.
• Experience with inpatient consults and outpatient clinics.
• Collaborative work with APPs and hospitalists.

Responsibilities

• Provide general cardiology coverage for inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Work with APPs and hospitalists to coordinate care.
• Participate in invasive and interventional procedures and cath lab activities at affiliate facility.
• Manage patient care across inpatient and outpatient environments.
• Coordinate with Haywood Regional Medical Center for shared cases and travel as needed.

Position Detail:

• General Cardiology coverage needed

• Join a team of providers with APP support

• Unique schedules will be considered: 7 on/ 7 off -OR- 14 on /14 off

• ECHO, NUC, TEE

• Outpatient clinic along with inpatient consults

• Community based care

• Invasive and Interventional Procedures, and Cath Lab at sister hospital, Haywood Regional Medical Center in Clyde - 25min

• Working relationship with hospitalist team

Required:

• North Carolina Medical License

• Completion of ACGME accredited residency and fellowship programs required
