Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a broad range of cardiovascular conditions.
  • Perform and interpret advanced cardiovascular imaging and diagnostic studies.
  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiology services.
  • Collaborate with cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Participate in growth of a nationally recognized cardiovascular program.
  • Contribute to clinical research and quality improvement initiatives.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our General Cardiologist , you will join the nationally recognized CHI Health Heart Institute and Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska. You will become part of a highly collaborative cardiovascular team dedicated to advancing clinical excellence, research, innovation, and medical education while delivering exceptional care to patients throughout the region.

Every day you will provide comprehensive cardiovascular care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, perform advanced diagnostic and imaging studies, collaborate with multidisciplinary specialists, and contribute to the continued growth of one of the nation's premier Heart and Vascular Institutes.

To be successful in this role, you will be a board-certified or board-eligible Cardiologist with strong clinical expertise, a commitment to evidence-based care, and a passion for advancing cardiovascular medicine. You will also demonstrate excellent communication skills, a collaborative approach to patient care, and an interest in academic medicine, research, and physician education.

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions

  • Perform and interpret advanced cardiovascular imaging and diagnostic studies

  • Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiology services

  • Collaborate closely with cardiac surgeons, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary care teams

  • Participate in the continued growth and development of a nationally recognized cardiovascular program

  • Utilize innovative technologies and evidence-based treatment approaches to optimize patient outcomes

  • Collaborate with CommonSpirit Health service line partners on clinical research initiatives, quality improvement projects, and best practice sharing

  • Participate in a high-quality cardiovascular program recognized as a TAVR, TEER, AFIB, Watchman, and LAAO Center of Excellence

  • Work alongside dedicated Advanced Practice Providers who support the cardiology service line

  • Teach and mentor fellows, residents, and medical students through Creighton University School of Medicine

  • Participate in clinical research and scholarly activities in collaboration with faculty across CommonSpirit Health and Creighton University

  • Contribute to a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and patient-centered care
