Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Active New York State medical license. Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology.
• Proficient in interpreting EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitors, and other cardiac diagnostic studies.
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care, including evaluations, diagnostic testing, and treatment planning; interpret cardiac studies (EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitors, event recorders) and laboratory tests.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions such as hypertension, CAD, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular disease, and hyperlipidemia.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and referrals for interventional cardiology or cardiac surgery when indicated.
• Educate patients and families on heart disease prevention, risk factor modification, medication adherence, and treatment options; collaborate with PCPs, NPs, and specialists for coordinated care.
• Maintain accurate documentation in electronic medical records; stay current with cardiology advancements through continuing education and guidelines.

• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions such as hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, and hyperlipidemia.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and referrals for interventional cardiology or cardiac surgery when indicated.
• Educate patients and families on heart disease prevention, risk factor modification, medication adherence, and treatment options; collaborate with primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and specialists to ensure coordinated, whole-person care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic medical records; stay current with cardiology advancements through continuing education, professional society guidelines, and evidence-based research; and participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings.
