Greenlife Healthcare Staffing, Inc. seeks a Cardiologist for a multi-specialty practice in the Bronx, NY. The role offers diverse cardiovascular care in a collaborative, supportive environment and opportunities for professional growth.

You will diagnose and manage hypertension, heart failure, CAD, and arrhythmias, interpreting EKGs and other studies, with a focus on patient outcomes and teamwork within a multidisciplinary group.

Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Active New York State medical license; Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology.
• Proficient in interpreting EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitors, and other cardiac diagnostic studies.
• Skilled in managing hypertension, heart failure, coronary artery disease, arrhythmias, and valvular heart disease.
• Strong clinical judgment and excellent communication, with teamwork in a multidisciplinary setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care including evaluations, diagnostic testing, and treatment planning.
• Interpret cardiac studies (EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitors) and laboratory results.
• Diagnose and manage hypertension, heart failure, CAD, arrhythmias, and valvular disease.
• Develop individualized treatment plans and coordinate referrals for interventional care when indicated.
• Educate patients and families on heart disease prevention and collaborate with primary care and specialists.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive cardiovascular care, including evaluations, diagnostic testing, and treatment planning; interpret cardiac studies (EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, Holter monitors, event recorders) and laboratory tests (lipid panels, cardiac biomarkers, coagulation studies).
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions such as hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, arrhythmias, valvular heart disease, and hyperlipidemia.
• Develop individualized treatment plans, including medication management, lifestyle modifications, and referrals for interventional cardiology or cardiac surgery when indicated.
• Educate patients and families on heart disease prevention, risk factor modification, medication adherence, and treatment options; collaborate with primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, and specialists to ensure coordinated, whole-person care.
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in electronic medical records; stay current with cardiology advancements through continuing education, professional society guidelines, and evidence-based research; and participate in quality improvement initiatives and team meetings.
