Humana, Inc. is seeking a Cardiologist to diagnose, manage, and follow up on patients with heart diseases within an outpatient care team. The role emphasizes direct patient care, with substantial involvement in charting and administrative tasks.

The candidate must have an MD or DO, completed residency/fellowship in cardiology, ABIM cardiovascular certification, and ABNM echocardiography certification, and will participate in Humana's TB screening program as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Requires a Medical degree and 5+ years of residency and fellowship experience
• Licensure requirements of the state of jurisdiction
• Graduate of accredited MD or DO program of accredited university
• Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with a certificate of special qualification in cardiovascular disease
• Certified by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine with a certificate of special qualification in echocardiography
• This role is considered patient facing and is part of Humana/Senior Bridge's Tuberculosis (TB) screening program.
• If selected for this role, you will be required to be screened for TB.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage heart diseases within outpatient care models
• Follow-up with patients and coordinate care with the clinical team
• Engage in preventative cardiology strategies for at-risk patients
• Participate in TB screening program as required

The Cardiologist serves as a health-care provider who specializes in diagnosis, management, and follow-up of patients with any suspected or known heart diseases.The Cardiologist work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where the analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

The Cardiologist specializes in diseases of the heart and blood vessels and is part of a clinical care team that focuses on outpatient medicine, continuity of care, health maintenance, and disease prevention for elderly patients. The Cardiologist manages complex cardiac conditions such as heart attacks, abnormal heartbeat rhythms, and congestive heart failure, as well as provides preventative techniques for dealing with potential heart-related illnesses. The Cardiologist spends 100% of their time clinically focused on direct patient care, inclusive of patient facing time and general administrative time (charting, etc.) as it relates to direct patient care.

Required Qualifications:

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$360,500 - $495,700 per year

This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
