Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat cardiac and peripheral vascular disease.
• Ensure patient safety and adhere to protocols for conscious sedation and rapid response.
• Adapt care to growth and development needs of diverse patient populations, including children to geriatrics.

Job Description

• Ability to perform all of the duties of a Cardiac Technologist.
• Ability to work with growth and development needs of unique client populations.
• Possesses a thorough knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamic principles, X-Ray techniques and emergent and routine cardiac care.
• Utilizes effective cardiac communication skills and knows change process and utilizes conflict resolution.
• Possesses expert level understanding of pharmacologic options to treat patients.
• Understands any special protocols for conscious sedation of patients.
• Ability to work with the growth and development needs of unique client populations including children to geriatrics.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in cardiovascular technology or equivalent experience is required.
• Possesses expert knowledge in cardiovascular technology, including pharmacology and advanced cardiac rhythm management.
• Possesses a thorough understanding of cardiac anatomy, physiology, hemodynamic principles, X-ray techniques, and emergent and routine cardiac care.
• Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) within 12 months of hire is preferred.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if applicable to position is preferred.
• Depending on location Certification as a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) within 12 months of hire is required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required within 6 months of hire and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) if applicable to position is preferred.
