Job summary

Medtronic is seeking a Sustaining Engineer II to support a cardiovascular production line in Fridley, MN. This in-person role reports to a high-performing team of engineers and technicians, requiring relocation if not near commute distance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and minimum of 2 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree with a minimum of 0 years relevant experience.
• Experience with manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts.

Responsibilities

• Designs manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assembly of combination products.
• Identifies and implements improvements to reduce production scrap.
• Investigates and dispositions nonconforming product.
• Inspects performance of machinery and tools and initiates corrective action to ensure quality.
• Develops and maintains manufacturing processes using statistical process control.
• Guides design concepts and specification requirements for equipment and manufacturing techniques.
• Designs sequence of operations and specifies procedures for product manufacture.
• Ensures processes comply with regulations.
