The schedule is primarily 1st shift (7:00 AM - 3:30 PM), with rotations to the 2nd shift (3:00 PM - 11:30 PM). This role includes every other weekend on 2nd shift, with 3rd shifts assigned as necessary. Weekend and holiday shifts are included in the regular rotation. In the new year you may have an option for 10 hour shifts in the future. Also full time positions may come available in the future
This position involves rotating through various departments, including inpatient floors, the Emergency Department (ED), Outpatient (OP), and Intake. Additional responsibilities include applying Holter/Event monitors and conducting device checks as required.
EKG certification must be obtained within one year of hire.

High School Diploma and 6 months to 1 year previous EKG/ healthcare experience or completion of an EKG certificate program with a clinical internship
Good oral and written Communications skills Ability to perform blood Pressure readings and Identify cardiac arrhythmias Certified by NCCT as a NCET, or an Equivalent certification within 1 year of employment. CPR/BLS certified CPR and BLS Certified within 6 months of employment. Certification not required if the associate has completed a Bachelor or Master's degree in Exercise science/exercise Physiology with course work in EKG.
Ability to lift and or move patients. Ability to work under Stressful conditions and in difficult situations. Ability to stoop, bend and stand for extended periods of time. May be exposed to hazardous materials and life threatening diseases. This position will need to recognize the needs and behaviors of age groups of patients treated (i.e. understanding child growth and development, normal Patterns of adolescent behavior and look for signs of normal aging). Must be able to rotate to other shifts if needed. Prior experience with various age groups is preferred.
If position has direct patient care or direct patient contact the following lifting requirement supersedes any previous lifting requirement effective 06/01/2015. Ability to lift up to 35 pounds without assistance. For patient lifts of over 35 pounds, or when patient is unable to assist with the lift, patient handling equipment is expected to be used, with at least one other associate, when available. Unique patient lifting/movement situations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
