Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with hospital management, physicians and technologists.
• Current knowledge of cardiac and/or vascular sonography advances.
• Understanding of accreditation, credentialing, and quality assurance procedures.
• Basic understanding of imager configuration, DICOM standards, networking, and medical records.

Responsibilities

• Perform non-invasive vascular and/or echo testing.
• Follow established testing protocols and produce high-quality images.
• Obtain patient history prior to tests.
• Ensure supporting information and documentation for exams.
• Explain procedures to patients and staff clearly.
• Maintain good relationships with clients and co-workers.
• Schedule add-on and emergency exams to maintain workflow.
• Keep areas clean and ensure stock of supplies.
