Job summary

The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center's Ross Heart Hospital is hiring a Staff Nurse for the Cardiac and Vascular Surgery unit. You will provide direct patient and family care and supervise the nursing team to ensure safe, high-quality care in a 30-bed unit serving PCU/ICU patients.

Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating care in line with the professional practice model. A rotating shift and 36-hour schedule are typical.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from CCNE or ACEN accredited program is required.
• Current Ohio license or interim permit.
• Experience in relevant care setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and provide care to the patient and family.
• Direct and supervise nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team.
• Assess, planning, implement, coordinate, delegat[e] and evaluate the nursing care in alignment with the professional practice model.
