Job summary

Ascension Saint Thomas West in Nashville, TN is seeking a registered nurse for the Cardiac Post Transplant Services department. The role supports pre-transplant evaluation, wait list management, transplant/implantation and post-transplant follow-up care, with an emphasis on education and data reporting.

The position requires TN RN licensure, BLS within 30 days of hire, and a nursing diploma or equivalent licensure.

Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Nurse in Tennessee.
• BLS certification obtained within 1 month of hire.
• Diploma from an accredited school of nursing or equivalent licensure at hire.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates clinical and administrative processes for transplant/MCS patients across the full continuum of care.
• Educates patients, families and staff on transplantation/MCS implantation.
• Completes data capture, analysis and reporting for transplant/MCS program operations.
• Contributes to the quality agenda for transplant services per UNOS and CMS guidelines.
• Collects and maintains time study data for reporting pre and post transplant times.
