Job summary

Bronson Methodist Hospital is seeking a Cardiac Technician to provide direct patient care and assist with specialized cardiac monitoring. The role blends bedside nursing support with telemetry and EKG responsibilities in a high-acuity cardiac unit.

Orientation includes extensive training in rhythm recognition, telemetry setup, and patient care onboarding, with shifts that may include 12-hour nights. This opportunity supports growth in cardiovascular medicine within a collaborative care team.

Qualifications

• Experience with basic medical terminology is desirable.
• BLS certification is required by end of orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Obtain and document vital signs and other patient information.
• Monitor cardiac rhythms and communicate rhythm changes to the care team.
• Perform 12-lead EKGs and support telemetry monitoring activities.
• Assist with telemetry setup, troubleshooting, and discontinuation as appropriate.
• Support patients with activities of daily living, mobility, and comfort needs.
• Assist with patient transport, admissions, discharges, and diagnostic testing.
• Document patient care and cardiac monitoring activities accurately.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment.
• Support unit operations, patient safety initiatives, and quality care standards.
• Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to support individualized patient care plans.
