Qualifications

• Basic rhythm certification required within 90 days of hire/transfer.
• Must pass a basic dysrhythmia test prior to orientation completion.
• Previous hospital or healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor patient cardiac rhythms and ensure accurate ECG readings.
• Interpret ECG data and promptly report changes to the RN.
• Prepare, maintain and clean telemetry equipment including leads and batteries.
• Accurately document ECG data in patient records for multidisciplinary review.
• Assist in tracking patient locations during off-monitor procedures and transports.
• Perform crash cart checks at shift start to ensure availability and functionality.
