Job summary

Terrebonne General Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Progressive Care Unit. The RN will plan, implement, coordinate and evaluate nursing care, and lead by collaborating with the care team to maintain standards of practice.

You will assess conditions, administer medications, educate patients and families, document thoroughly, and participate in continuous improvement to deliver compassionate, high‑quality care close to home.

Qualifications

• Must be licensed to practice as a registered nurse in Louisiana.

Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor patient conditions; adjust care plans as needed.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status with interventions.
• Administer medications and perform treatments per policy.
• Provide hygiene and comfort measures to support well-being.
• Educate patients and families; address emotional and psychosocial needs.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams.
• Identify and manage patient risks, including falls and skin breakdown.
• Follow infection control and safety procedures.
• Complete documentation, shift reports, and tasks accurately and on time.
• Prioritize multiple tasks to deliver patient-centered care.
