Job summary

Mercy Hospital St. Louis Critical Care Medicine Fellowship seeks an experienced RN to provide patient care using the nursing process and to coordinate across departments while upholding patient rights and Mercy standards.

Applicants must have an RN license in the hiring state or compact licensure and meet state requirements; BLS is required, with other certifications often required for unit needs. Mercy offers comprehensive benefits and tuition support for eligible staff.

Qualifications

• RN must hold a current license in the hiring state or a compact licensure and meet state board requirements.
• BLS certification required or completed within 30 days of hire.
• Unit-specific certifications such as ACLS, NRP, ENPC, TNCC, CPHON, OCN, PALS, PEARS, S.T.A.B.L.E., C-EFM as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care using the nursing process with professional accountability.
• Coordinate patient care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality.

Position Details:

Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

Certifications:

• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire.

• S.T.A.B.L.E. (Sugar, Temperature, Airway, Blood Pressure, Lab Work, And Emotional Support) Six Assessment & Care Modules
• C-EFM (Fetal Monitor Certification)
• Other unit-specific certifications as required

Physical Requirements

• Position requires the ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Position requires prolonged standing and walking during each shift.
• Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
