Job summary

Silver Cross Hospital in New Lenox, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac TeleMETRY unit. The role provides professional nursing care, with leadership to CNA/SNA staff, during night shifts (7p–7a) with rotating weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities include planning, delivering, and evaluating patient care, administering medications, documenting in the medical record, and ensuring privacy and safety standards are followed. A current IL RN license and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Illinois or eligibility per Nurse Practice Act.
• CPR certification required.
• Telemetry/Cardiac care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients’ physical, psychosocial, cultural, nutritional, and functional needs.
• Plan and implement a plan of care with nursing interventions.
• Educate patients and families; provide teaching.
• Document nursing care in the medical record.
• Delegate and supervise CNA/SNA and other staff as assigned.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and protect patient privacy.
