Job summary

UPMC Hamot is seeking a full-time Professional Staff Nurse for 5 South, a 46-bed cardiac/medical telemetry unit. Rotating day/night shifts with weekend requirements. Title/ pay determined by education and experience.

Minimum pay starts at $36.50/hour for non-BSN staff; generous sign-on bonuses up to $20,000 and tuition assistance are offered through UPMC. Excellent growth ladders from Professional Staff Nurse to Expert Nurse accompany the Total Rewards package.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in current state or compact with mobile privileges.
• BSN preferred.
• Experience as an RN on a medical-surgical or acute care unit is expected.

• Provide and coordinate direct patient care for a group of patients.
• Demonstrate leadership, collaboration, and teamwork within the care team.
• Maintain documentation and ensure patient safety and quality of care.
