Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health seeks a Nursing Assistant for the 6 East Telemetry Bed unit, a blended acuity Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery unit. Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, you will provide personal care and support to patients, including vital signs, intake/output, and ADLs, in a 22-bed telemetry setting.

You will perform basic clinical procedures, assist with nutrition, and maintain safety and infection control standards.

Qualifications

• Requires BLS certification; must obtain within 30 days if not currently certified.
• Basic ability to read, write and perform basic four-function math.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work under supervision and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living and basic care as delegated by the RN.
• Record and report vital signs, intake/output, and any unusual observations.
• Ensure patient safety, infection control, and adherence to safety procedures.
• Support orientation of new nursing assistants and collaborate with the nursing team.
