Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Maintains current Alabama RN license or multistate RN license.
• Maintains BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC as applicable to area.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patients’ needs and develops/revises plan of care.
• Advocates for patients and families.
• Preceptor, charge nurse, unit educator or nurse clinician.
• Communicates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team.
• Documents care per regulatory standards and unit SOPs.
• Demonstrates nursing skill competency per unit requirements.
• Coordinates care and delegates tasks to team members.
