Job summary

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, VA is hiring a Cardiac Technician for a full-time day shift. You will support RNs in prep and recovery for cardiac catheterization, interventional radiology, and surgical cases, caring for 20–30 patients daily.

The role requires lifting and standing for long periods, with responsibilities including EKGs, specimen collection, and assisting with post-procedure care and patient transport. High school diploma required.

Qualifications

High School degree or equivalent
Experience as patient care technician or cardiac/healthcare tech preferred

Responsibilities

Assist RNs in prep and recovery for Cardiac Catheterization, Interventional Radiology, and Cardiac OR patients.
Prep and recover 20–30 patients daily, assist in postoperative room, monitor EKGs, collect specimens.
Assist in arterial/venous sheath removal from femoral, radial, and brachial sites.
Help bedrest patients with eating, toileting, and other needs; transport to inpatient rooms or discharge.
Must be able to lift, push, pull, and stand for long periods.
