Job summary

Endeavor Health is seeking a Physician Assistant specialized in cardiovascular surgery to join Glenbrook Hospital, Glenview, IL. This full-time role involves weekday morning to evening shifts with weekend call and holidays.

Inpatient care, OR assistance for CABG, valve replacement, and LVAD implantation will be central to duties. You will work under collaborating physicians, perform exams, order tests, educate patients, and help manage perioperative care.

Qualifications

• Licensed PA in IL required.
• Master's degree in PA specialty required.
• BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications required.
• Prior cardiac surgery experience preferred; new grads welcome to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide care under the direction of the collaborating physician(s).
• Perform history-taking, physical examinations, order imaging/labs and interpret results.
• Instruct patients on therapies and pre/post operative care.
• Assist cardiac surgeon in OR with 1st/2nd assist for CABG, valve replacement, LVAD implantation.
• Maintain records and progress notes.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Prescribe therapies as appropriate and follow evidence-based practice.
