Job summary

Carilion Clinic’s Cardiac Surgery ICU nurse role is a night-shift position with a weekend requirement, located in Roanoke, VA. The RN is responsible for coordinating patient care, documentation, and collaboration with the healthcare team in a fast-paced cardiovascular setting.

We seek a VA-licensed RN or eligible candidate with BLS current; ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required by unit. Relocation support is available for qualifying candidates and patient-centered care is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Graduate of school of professional nursing of an accredited college or graduate of an approved program eligible to sit for the VA licensure exam.
• Currently licensed as Registered Nurse in Virginia or eligible to obtain Virginia RN licensure.
• Life Support: AHA BLS-HCP required; may require ACLS/PALS/NRP per unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous nursing care, coordinating and supervising patient care across ages.
• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care using EPIC electronic medical records.
• Collaborate with the care team to optimize patient outcomes and ensure safety.
