Job summary

Allina Health in Minnesota seeks a cardiac testing support professional to join our MHI clinic network in Lakeville. You will assist physicians and nurses in cardiac stress testing and clinic care, room patients, obtain histories, and help with procedures.

Responsibilities include performing EKGs, vitals, and test setup; monitoring patients during treadmill tests; and coordinating with cardiology and imaging teams. Certification requirements and ongoing training are provided as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science or related field; 1+ years of clinical cardiac experience.
• Medical Terminology.
• ACSM Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist within 6 months of hire; ASEP accepted for those hired before 2005.
• One of: ACLS or ALS certification, or Allina in-house ACLS training within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cardiac clinic responsibilities and chart preparation.
• Take vitals, obtain histories, room patients for providers.
• Perform EKGs, Holter analysis and 5-meter walk tests.
• Prepare tests, monitor vitals during testing.
• Escalate concerns to cardiology and imaging teams.
