SSM Health Good Samaritan Hospital - Mount Vernon is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and protocols.

Responsibilities include using nursing standards to improve quality of care, collaborating with patients and families, implementing the plan of care, and educating patients and families. This full-time role includes a night shift and benefits to support compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited school of nursing or education equivalency for licensing.

Responsibilities

• Uses standards of medical-surgical nursing practice to increase the quality of care and quality of life for the patient, family, and significant other(s) by evaluating nursing practice.
• Develops care plans with patient and family and coordinates with inter-professional team to implement them.
• Applies the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Develops assessment and management strategies considering physical, cultural, social, and spiritual factors.
• Educates patients and families about measures to promote health and comfort.
