Job summary

IntelliResume is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Surgical Stepdown unit in Hackensack, NJ. This part-time night position focuses on direct patient care, assessment, planning, and collaboration with the healthcare team to achieve outcomes.

You’ll administer medications with bar‑scanning technology, document care, and educate patients and families. Requirements include an Associate degree or nursing diploma, 6 months of experience, NJ RN license, and BLS/CPR within 60 days of hire; BSN

Qualifications

• Associate in Nursing or diploma of Nursing degree required.
• BSN in progress or willingness to acquire within three years of hire.
• Six months of relevant nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.
• Current Registered Nurse license in New Jersey.
• BLS/CPR certification required within 60 days of hire.
• National Certification in area of specialty preferred when eligible.

Responsibilities

• Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
• Perform age and disease‑specific assessments independently.
• Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes in patient status.
• Identify patient/family education needs based on age and disease.
• Develop and coordinate a patient/family‑focused plan of care.
• Communicate and implement the plan of care effectively.
• Provide ongoing communication with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Administer medications utilizing advanced bar‑scanning technologies.
• Evaluate progress toward attainment of patient outcomes.
• Adhere to established protocols and document care accurately.
