Job summary

Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center in Williamsburg, VA is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Acute Cardiac/Stroke Unit. This full-time night shift (6:45 PM–7:15 AM) includes a rotating weekend schedule and a sign-on bonus up to $20,000 for qualified candidates.

The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care, support cardiac and stroke patients, and participate in the unit’s specialty care programs and transition to practice initiatives.

Qualifications

• Education Degree or Diploma from an accredited RN program; BSN/MSN preferred.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• ACLS within 1 year of hire.
• NIH within 1 year of hire.
• Acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Stroke or telemetry background preferred.
• New Grad RNs welcome.

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care following the nursing process.
• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, coordinate care and educate patients.
