Job summary

HCA Healthcare's TriStar Centennial Medical Center seeks a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the cardiac step-down unit. You will collaborate with medical providers and advocate for patients to support an exceptional experience.

Key duties include assessing patients on admission and every shift, performing procedures and medication administration, documenting care in the medical record, and maintaining up-to-date knowledge of cardiac care

Qualifications

• ACLS required within 6 months of start date.
• BLS required within 30 days of start date.
• RN licensed as a Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift, identifying changes in status.
• Perform procedures or functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor response.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in cardiac and medical-surgical care.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start dateBasic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date(RN) Registered Nurse
  
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree, or Registered Nurse Diploma
• No Travel Required
• One year of acute care experience required
