Denver Health in Denver, CO is seeking a dedicated Cardiac Sonographer Technologist I to perform high-quality cardiac ultrasound examinations using non-invasive cardiovascular equipment to aid in diagnosis and treatment of heart and blood vessel conditions.
Under general supervision, you will interpret and record findings, promote safety, quality control, and infection control, and communicate results to the attending physician to support comprehensive patient care.

NonInvasive Lab
Under general supervision, performs quality cardiac ultrasound examinations using non-invasive cardiovascular technology equipment to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with heart and blood vessel conditions. Uses cognitive sonographer skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images. Analyzes ultrasounds, synthesizes sonography information and medical history, and communicates findings to the appropriate physician. Practices sound safety and infection control practices according to agency policies and procedures; identifies safety and infection control issues. Performs quality control on appropriate systems and equipment. Provides a safe environment for all patients, assuring proper patient positioning and patient care throughout the patient stay. Promotes quality care by redefining priorities for care based on evaluation of patient/family response or changing condition.
Completion of an accredited diagnostic medical sonography program required.
Direct patient care preferred as a cardiac sonographer in a hospital setting.
BLS-Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) - AHA - American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.
