Job summary

BJC HealthCare System is seeking a Full-Time Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) for Christian Hospital in the St. Louis, MO area. The Graphics (Echocardiology) Dept. offers a Monday–Friday day shift and on-call duties with compensation. A $7,500 sign-on bonus is available.

Responsibilities include performing echocardiography tests across locations, maintaining logs, updating charges in EPIC, and supporting cutting-edge echo-guided procedures. New grads welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• RDCS certification is required.
• Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency.
• Experience with cardiac ultrasound is a plus.

Position Details

• Full-Time Day Shift : Monday-Friday 7am - 3:30pm


• Paid On-Call : You'll be compensated for every 5th week & 1 holiday per year for being on-call, even if you're not called in


• Graphics (Echocardiology)


• Performs tests and procedures at various locations throughout the hospital, maintains accurate patient logs in EPIC, updates daily charges in the computer, utilizes cardiac lab menus in the computer, maintains cardiac lab patient files

Role Purpose

The Cardiac Sonographer performs a variety of cardiac testing, including treadmill stress testing, holter monitoring, transthoracic echocardiography, transesophageal echo, stress echo and cardiac doppler.

Responsibilities

Performs tests and procedures at various locations. Maintains accurate patient logs. Updates daily charges in the computer, utilizes cardiac lab menus in the computer. Maintains cardiac lab patient files.

Minimum Requirements

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: No Experience

Supervisor Experience: No Experience

Licenses & Certifications: RDCS or equiv

Preferred Requirements

Education: Associate's Degree - Allied Health/Sonography
