Job summary

Piedmont Athens Regional Specialty Services seeks a cardiac sonographer to perform inpatient and outpatient cardiac ultrasound tests, including 2D echo, Doppler, and stress exams. The role requires providing expert sonography care and documenting preliminary findings for diverse age groups.

Candidates must graduate from a registry-approved ultrasound program, have BLS at hire, and hold RDCS or RCS credentials or be eligible for them. No prior experience is required beyond the hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of registry approved ultrasound program or equivalent per IAC (Intersocietal Accreditation Commission).
• No experience required; 2 years of related hospital inpatient/outpatient cardiac sonographer experience.
• BLS on hire required; RDCS (Cardiac) or RCS (CCI) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient and/or outpatient cardiac ultrasound tests including 2D echo, Doppler, stress exams, and transesophageal echocardiograms as assigned by supervisor.
• Provide complex technical sonography with documentation and preliminary findings for adolescent to geriatric patients.
