Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (Required).
• Two-year allied health program in a patient-related field (e.g., sonography, radiology, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, or RN).
• RDCS or RCS registry (or registry eligible within 12 months of hire).
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• 50% Performs ultrasound imaging.
• 20% Prepares required reports.
• 10% Maintains files.
• 10% Maintains equipment; provides needed statistics.
• 5% Handles telephone to schedule and provide information.
• 5% Reviews results of echocardiogram with physicians and performs quality assurance.
