Job summary

Catholic Medical Center in Manchester, NH is seeking a Cardiac Sonographer Adult to perform echocardiograms for adult and older adult patients in inpatient and outpatient settings. The role requires ARDMS/CCI certification or registry eligibility, BLS, and valid driver's license for travel to satellite offices 20%–40% of the time.

Under the Non-Invasive Cardiology manager, you will support a nationally recognized Heart & Vascular Institute and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required; or 5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
• Graduate of an accredited cardiac sonography program with 12 months of full-time clinical training or Certificate Program acceptable.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform simple and complex diagnostic echocardiograms on adult and older adult inpatients and outpatients.
• Work under the direct supervision of the Manager, Non-Invasive Cardiology within department policies and procedures.
• Maintain required licensure/certifications and ensure patient safety during procedures.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the direct supervision of the Manager, Non-Invasive Cardiology and within established departmental policies and procedures and all applicable laws, the Cardiac Sonographer will perform simple and complex diagnostic echocardiograms ordered by the physician on adult and older adult inpatient and outpatient populations.

What qualifications you will need:

Education:

• Associate's Degree required; in lieu of an Associate's Degree, employee must have aminimumof5 years of relevant work experience.

• Graduate of an accredited cardiac sonography program with 12 months of full-time clinical training. Certificate Program is acceptable.

• Bachelor of Science Degree preferred.

Experience:

• 1-2 years of adult cardiac ultrasound experience. Clinical rotations may be considered as 1 year of experience.

Licensure/Certification:

• Registered or Registry Eligible in Adult Cardiac Sonography by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI). Registry must be obtained within 1 year of hire and maintained thereafter.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

• Current driver’s license required due to travel required to satellite offices 20%-40%of the time.

• NH state licensure for medical imaging and radiation therapy is required.
