Job summary

Saint Luke’s East in Lee’s Summit is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our cardiovascular recovery team. This position welcomes Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), nursing assistants, and patient care techs, with a 6-week paid on-the-job training for non-certified applicants.

The role supports hospital throughput and patient experience in a positive, respectful environment. Training is full-time for those without applicable certification or experience, enabling a confident start in

Qualifications

• Provides patient care under the direction and supervision of an RN or LPN.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care tasks.
• Assists with activities of daily living and care such as bathing, hygiene, elimination and toileting, nutrition, feeding, hydration, ambulation and positioning.
• Anticipates the patient’s family needs in a proactive fashion.
• Individualizes and modifies care according to the patient’s needs.
