Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in Bronx, NY seeks an experienced perfusionist to assess, plan and implement patient care for cardiopulmonary bypass before, during and after surgery. Sets up and operates the heart-lung machine and consults with physicians to select appropriate equipment.

Under general supervision, you will work a Day shift, MON-FRI, 6:30 AM-3 PM, with Regular/Per Diem status. Requires NYS perfusion technology education, AB Cardiovascular Perfusion certification and BLS.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited NYS college with a perfusion degree or NYS certificate program.
• ABCP certification is required; BLS is required.
• NY licensure/registration requirements must be satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and implement patient care for cardiopulmonary bypass before, during and after surgery.
• Set up and operate the heart-lung machine; select appropriate equipment.
• Consult with Physicians to ensure optimal perfusion strategy.
• Perform related duties as required.
